What is AAC?
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. AAC includes all forms of communication other than oral speech. Examples of AAC include picture symbol communication or electronic devices such as an ipad app.
Who benefits from AAC?
Children with severe speech and language disorders rely on AAC to supplement or to replace oral communication that is not functional for them.
